Whatâs So Special About Saddle Up University?Â
Horse trainers are usually good at training horses or good at teaching people, but rarely both. Sarah is by nature a teacher, a former philosophy professor in fact, who is also a lifelong student of the horse. She understands how to work with horses of all types, but she also understands and cares about people. This membership community is all about helping members learn and grow as horse people and also as human beings.Â
Do Any of These Sound Like You?
- You donât know what to do when you work with your horse.
- You feel overwhelmed with the sheer volume of information out there and donât know where to start.
- You donât know how to structure the information youâre finding into a clear process that will work for you.
- You feel nervous when working with your horse.Â
- You need more support and encouragement than you are currently getting.Â
- You wish you were a part of a trainerâs program where you had a plan for every ride.Â
- You donât know how to achieve your horsemanship goals or even how to create those goals.
- You donât remember the exercises your trainer gave you during your last lesson and wish there was an online resource that includes all of them.Â
Saddle Up University is For You!Â
After decades in the horse industry, Iâve seen, experienced, or helped clients over these and many other hurdles. And because I have a relentless growth mindset, Iâve had to filter through, cull, and organize hundreds of hours of information for my own benefit as well.Â
My training and teaching style can be summed up in these three values: Clarity, Structure, and Honesty. Clarity in how I strive to communicate, structure in how I organize and order the knowledge I transfer, and complete honesty in what I communicate.Â

I love taking lessons with Sarah. She is smart, knowledgeable, kind, patient and funny. She is happy to repeat herself, explain it a different way and even demonstrate to you what she means. She has tons of patience and never gets frustrated. Sarah is happy to work with you in many disciplines. She knows there is not just one âmethodâ but instead she teaches you what works for both you and your horse. - Robin B
I attended Sarah's colt starting/restarting clinic this weekend and the results were amazing. The clinic was tailored to each horse and rider and there was no pressure to conform to a specific program. I did not expect to progress so fast with my green horse and I was very surprised at quickly he learned the lessons. Sarahâs patience, knowledge, and ability to adapt the lessons made this a great clinic. I look forward to working with her very soon.

âIn every lesson I have taken with Sarah Geis, Chewy and I have accomplished something that I did not think was possible so quickly. I believe these epiphanies have been possible because of Sarah's vast equestrian knowledge that spans many disciplines, her ability to communicate that knowledge, her kindness, and her passion to witness a rider and horse team to progress.â - Beate A
âMy daughter has thrived under Sarahâs instruction despite being away from riding for the last couple years, and working with a horse new to us. Sarah understands the mechanics of riding, and is excellent at coaching in a manner that provides both challenge and success for horse and rider. My daughterâs confidence and skill has seen fast improvement!â - Kate T
